During the past year, Iberaqua has converted over 400 Ha of irrigated land for forest crops for one of the main Spanish biomass producers, with the aim of boosting the use of renewable energies.
The surface area is distributed across Spain, but the largest part is in Extremadura. A drip irrigation system was used with different filter heads (sand, screen, disc) depending on the water source. They are all automated and were set up with Agronic 2500 or 4000 programmers, also using radio and GPRS systems to optimise water and energy resources and obtain greater control of the irrigation systems from anywhere with an Internet connection.
We adapted existing pumping systems to each farm, or installed new systems to optimise performance, applying horizontal, submersible and vertical pumps depending on the water source and quality.
